A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can remember things between page loads. Some are required for the site to work. Others are optional and only set if you accept them.
What we use cookies for
Managing your cookies
You can change your cookie preferences any time — your choice is stored for 12 months and you can update it at any point:
- Click the button below, or use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any BillMate page, to open the preferences panel.
- Or clear all cookies via your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge each have a "clear site data" or "manage site permissions" option in their privacy menus).
- If you withdraw consent, we'll stop sending data to Google Analytics and YouTube immediately on your next page load. Existing cookies will expire on their natural schedule.
What we do not use
For full transparency, BillMate does not use any of the following:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies (no audience-tracking pixels, no remarketing tags)
- Social media tracking cookies (no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no TikTok Pixel)
- Third-party marketing trackers or data brokers
- Cross-site or cross-device tracking
- Fingerprinting or other tracking techniques that bypass cookie controls
Your rights under UK GDPR
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete any personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time. For full detail of how we handle your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
